Low Income Multifamily Program

LEAP has been awarded a $1.9 million Department of Energy Weatherization Assistance Program Pilot grant for multifamily low income housing. We will be launching this program in early 2011 and are actively looking for interested building owners.

Special financing, rebates, pre-qualified contractors, bulk purchasing options, and a tenant education program are some of the services LEAP will provide.

Update on program's progress

LEAP has selected two contracting teams to work with low income multifamily housing owners:

• Piedmont Development Group working with Johnson Controls
• Siemens

We are now beginning to work directly with property owners to perform scoping audits on their properties.
