Residential Program

Welcome contractors! If you are a home remodeler, building performance professional or energy improvement service provider working in the residential market, please contact us today about joining our network.

LEAP requires that all home performance assessments (energy audits) in our program be completed by a Building Performance Institute Building Analyst. Home energy improvements are installed by pre-qualified contractors.

As a Participating Contractor in LEAP's Home Performance with ENERGY STAR (HPwES) program, you can market to our customers the advantages of working with you and LEAP, which include rebates on the home assessment and energy improvements. Also, on HPwES jobs, your customers can apply for special financing through our local credit union partners.

Additional benefits to being a Participating Contractor include:

• Customer leads through LEAP's website and outreach efforts

• Access to reduced rate energy modeling software

• Free or subsidized training in weatherization techniques, business development, and marketing home performance jobs

• Participation in the Department of Energy's Home Energy Score program administered locally by  LEAP

Commercial BetterBuildings Program

LEAP issued a Request for Qualifications for participating contractors in its commercial program, and contracts have been awarded to three local companies. We are not currently soliciting additional contracting companies for our commercial program at this time.

Note, for small commercial in repurposed residential buildings under 10,000sf, contracting companies who have been pre-qualified to work under LEAP's residential program may also perform work in these structures under LEAP's commercial program.
