What is Energy Efficiency?
Energy efficiency means using less energy to perform the same task – that is, eliminating energy waste and often saving costs.
Since 2009, LEAP’s home energy analysts have helped Virginian residents make their homes more energy-efficient, comfortable, and updated via weatherization methods. We also help homeowners identify rebates, apply for income and age qualifying programs, and connect them with contractors if we can’t take care of something in-house. Our assessments are thorough examinations of your house that will help you determine how to make your home more energy efficient. Technicians inspect your attic and crawl space, look over your appliances, and use special diagnostic tools including a blower door test and thermal infrared cameras. The purpose of the energy assessment is to look for ways to save you energy and money.

Depending on the size of the home, a home energy assessment can take anywhere from 1.5 to 3 hours.

You can expect to receive a report with the results of your assessment within two weeks of receiving the assessment.

Once you are provided with your report, we’ll get you scheduled with us in order to make your home energy efficient!
